Who is Destroying America? is as controversial and
frightening as a book can get. It contains updated columns from my online
columns for the former ToogoodReports and others that were unpublished
when the website closed down. It covers topics that concern most Americans,
including Islamic terrorists, illegal immigration, our porous border, criminals,
the United Nations, religion in America, the ACLU, the liberal agenda for
America, abortion, our liberal courts, drugs, gun control, politicians, public
prayer, reverse racism, the liberal media, and the decline of morals in America,
among others. It’s guaranteed to get you riled up.
A number of
events in my life inspired me to write the material in this book. The major even
occurred during the Goldwater election of 1964. One major newspaper and the
three networks had provided all of the news and commentary possible where I
lived. My opinions often clashed with those I read and hear, and I wondered
whether something were wrong with me for swimming “upstream against the
mainstream of America,” or at least what the media then led us to believe was
the mainstream. I heard Goldwater speak for about 45 seconds on TV one evening
and was awestruck by what I heard. He spoke of things I hadn’t read or heard in
the media, about God and freedom and limited government and traditional values
and the American Way. I realized then that I’d been propagandized to believe
there was only one side every issue.
Later, my company
assigned me to the Philippines, and I was there when Ferdinand Marcos declared
martial law and established a dictatorship. What made such an impact on me was
how so many—Filipinos, Americans, and others alike—had accepted the
dictatorship, even welcomed it, believing that a strong government would bring
needed reforms. Too late, we realized that he was worse than the evils he
promised (but failed) to reform.
In 2001, I had a
small chance to spread the word when my novel, The Evil Ones, was
published. This novel was a story of good versus evil, the evil ones being those
who are working to destroy America. I’ve always hoped that those who read the
novel would begin helping in their own small way to slow the destruction of our
beloved country.
In 2002, I was
asked to write a weekly column for the popular conservative Christian website,
The Toogood Reports. This book contains my columns, brought up-to-date,
and some that weren’t published before the website closed because of the
deteriorating health of the editor’s wife.
Yes, there are
people working to destroy our country for their own evil reasons, but the most
prevalent is their desire to reduce our nation to a province of a one-world
government. We must pass this message on to other Americans and encourage them
to also pass the word. Our future and the future of our children and
grandchildren depend on us.
It’s been almost four years since the carnage of
9/11. Only on the anniversary do we remember—at least for a day or so—the
slaughter of 3,000 innocent people by Satan’s warriors on Earth. Too many
Americans have forgotten the bloody lessons of that day.
On September 11,
2001, I was working in Saudi Arabia—home of 15 of the 19 hijackers—and had just
returned from a shopping trip when an American friend called. “Turn on the TV, “
he shouted. “They’re attacking us.”
They sure were.
All evening, I watched on satellite TV as United Airlines flight 175 crashed
into the South Tower again and again in fiery instant replay. I saw the towers
collapse, crushing and burning to death innocent workers, firemen, and police
officers. I saw the Pentagon in flames, where military and civilian workers had
died a horrible death. I heard reports of a plane crashing in Pennsylvania.
Those memories
should be seared into our memories. If Americans forget that bloodthirsty
Islamist barbarians have thrust a war upon us, a war in which thousands of our
fellow Americans have already suffered and died, we will lose our resolve to
prevail until victory.
Some of the 3,000
tragic stories that day deserve repeating, even though our mainstream media
refuse to do so. A woman in the North Tower learned from her doctor that morning
that she was pregnant. She called her husband to tell him the exciting news.
While she was on the phone, Islamist savage Mohammed Atta flew American Airlines
flight 11 with 92 innocent people on board into a lower floor. She and the baby
growing within her perished that day.
Another young
lady from out of town was attending a meeting in the same building when Mohammed
Atta crashed into the building below her. The smoke and flames trapped her in
the upper floors of the building. She left a message on her husband’s answering
machine. Her voice trembled with fear as she told him the building was on fire
and she was trapped. She soon died, either from smoke inhalation or jumping from
the building to escape the flames and smoke.
She may have been
alive when another Islamist savage, Marwan al-Shehhi, crashed United Airlines
flight 175 into the South Tower. She was probably dead when the South Tower
collapsed an hour later, but if she wasn’t, the North Tower soon collapsed,
killing those inside.
A man on an upper
floor in the North Tower had a visitor in the lobby before the attacks. He
usually sent his secretary down to sign in visitors, but she was eight months
pregnant, so he decided to go himself. He arrived at the lobby just before the
plane struck. He survived; she and her unborn child didn’t.
Two-year-old
Christine Hanson was a passenger on al-Shehhi’s Flight 175 with her parents.
Little Christine was burned alive in the explosion of the jet fuel. Hopefully,
the end was quick and she felt no pain.
Pictures and video on the Internet show the planes
crashing, the buildings burning and collapsing, and the victims jumping. Our
liberal media hide the images, fearful that they’ll remind us of the savagery,
and we’ll demand revenge or profile or become insensitive toward a “religion of
peace” or—gasp!—reelect George W. Bush. (Too late, guys.)

“Have You Forgotten?”

Americans have a short
attention span. The cruel, violent deaths of some 3,000 innocent people form a
distant memory for most of us. Sadly, those weren’t the first deaths in the
Islamist war on America. The Islamist barbarians declared war on Western
Civilization in the 1970’s and have attacked us worldwide ever since. We’ve
missed lesson after lesson on the Islamist threat. The main lesson: They’re in
it for the long haul. Their madrasas are teaching Muslim children the glories of
jihad and the murder of infidels. They want their children to grow up to murder
our children.
Few Americans comprehend
that we’re fighting a worldwide war in which Iraq and Afghanistan are but two of
the battlefields. We discuss irrelevant issues to death as though the war can be
settled in a high school debate. The only real issues are how to kill all of our
suicidal enemies and how to protect America and its future.
People ask me whether we
should abandon Israel, as though Islamists would stop the attacks if we did.
Islamists (and too many “moderate” Muslims) mean to conquer the world and
convert it into a Taliban-Islamofascist one-world caliphate. They believe that
their religion ordains the use of deadly force to accomplish that goal. They
mean to kill or enslave us all.
Some of those barbarians
live in America and other Western nations. Islamic scholar Daniel Pipes noted,
“Militant Islam, with its West-phobia and goal of world hegemony, dominates
Islam in the West and appears to many to be the only kind of Islam.”
The Qu’ran contains
verses that are peaceful towards Christians and Jews, and others that advocate
attacking all unbelievers. The apologists who want you to believe Islam is a
“religion of peace” quote the peaceful verses. The Islamists ignore those verses
and receive their inspiration from the murderous ones.
We interrupted their war
against us when we attacked Afghanistan. When we conquered Iraq, we sent a
strong message to leaders of rogue nations (not “nations of concern,” as
namby-pamby Madeline Albright, Clinton’s Secretary of State) called them): Call
off the terrorists or we will destroy you as we did the governments of Iraq and
Afghanistan. Libya has heeded the warning; Iran and Syria still tread on
dangerous ground.
We have driven a military
wedge into the Middle East and sent our enemies there into disarray. Our troops
are fighting our enemies there instead of here. Only our resolve can keep it
that way. We must never forget what Islamists did to us—and what they will do to
us if we give them the chance. The memories will keep us strong. And keep us
free.
Will We Fight Civil War II Over the Southwest U.S.?
America is in
danger of being torn apart in a second civil war. Every schoolchild knows (or at
least they once knew, before education became more indoctrination and political
correctness than learning) that our bloody Civil War was fought because the
Confederate States wanted to secede from the Union. Our Pledge of Allegiance
reminds us that we are one indivisible nation.
All of that could
change. For years, there has been a serious movement among Mexicans and
Americans of Mexican descent to take over the Southwest and turn it into a state
of Mexico or an independent nation. The region, merged with northern Mexican
provinces in one version and with all of Mexico in another, is called Aztlan,
after the mythical birthplace of the Aztecs, or La Republica del Norte-Republic
of the North. Activist Charles Truxillo, Professor of Chicano Studies at the
University of New Mexico, said the new nation would include California, Arizona,
New Mexico, Texas, and southern Colorado. In an Associated Press report,
Truxillo said the new nation should be established “by any means necessary.”
Another activist,
Armando Navarro, Professor of Ethnic Studies, University of California,
Riverside, in a speech to Chicano activists, said that those young people “are
really going to be in a position to really make the promise of what the Chicano
movement was all about in terms of self-determination, in terms of empowerment,
and even in the terms of the idea of an Aztlan!”
The website In
Search of Aztlan says, “economic control of our lives and our communities can
only come about by driving the exploiter out of our communities, our pueblos,
and our lands.” The exploiter, of course, is non-Hispanic America. “Lands
rightfully ours will be fought for and defended.”
They also want
money, “Restitution for past economic slavery, political exploitation, ethnic,
cultural and psychological destruction and denial of civil and human rights.” So
we now have the Hispanic version of reparations. “For the very young there will
no longer be acts of juvenile delinquency, but revolutionary acts.” Mug an
elderly white lady and become a revolutionary?
Chicanos
already have their own nation within our nation. Maria Hsia Chang, Professor of
Political Science, University of Nevada, Reno, noted in her paper,
Multiculturalism, Immigration and Aztlan: “Today, there are reasons to believe
that Chicanos as a group are unlike previous immigrants in that they are more
likely to remain unassimilated and unintegrated, whether by choice or
circumstance—resulting in the formation of a separate quasi-nation within the
United States.”
The website La
Voz de Aztlan noted the similarities between their people, whom they call La
Raza, and Palestinians. “The primary one of course is the fact that both La Raza
and the Palestinians have been displaced by invaders that have utilized military
means to conquer and occupy our territories. The takeover of our respective
lands by foreign elements occurred 100 years apart.” The American lands at the
time were populated 80-90% by American settlers and until then ignored by the
Mexican government.
Aztlan is more
than an idle threat from a few crackpots. Los Angeles mayor Antonio Villaraigosa
and former Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante have been quoted prominently on
separatist websites. Young Hispanics are becoming increasingly radicalized, and
the idea of creating their own Hispanic nation inspires them to join the
movement.
Former Los
Angeles Mayor James Hahn once told Vincente Fox, Mexico's President at the time,
“Our city is a Mexican city.” Those were sweet words to Aztlan activists, who
consider Los Angeles the capital city of Aztlan. Mario Obledo, former California
secretary of health and welfare and co-founder of the Mexican-American Legal
Defense Fund, stated publicly, “California is going to be a Hispanic state, and
anyone who doesn't like it should leave.” Obledo also predicted that Hispanics
would soon be a majority in California, a possibility considering the rate of
illegal immigration.
The flow of a
million illegal immigrants (no, not “undocumented workers”) each year into the
U. S. provides more and more advocates. Most legal and illegal immigrants come
from Mexico. A Zogby poll commissioned by Americans for Immigration Control (www.immigrationcontrol.com)
found that almost sixty percent of Mexicans believe the Southwest United States
belongs to Mexico. Fifty-seven percent said that Mexicans have the right to
cross the border into the U. S. without permission. The Federation for American
Immigration Reform (www.fairus.org) quotes Census Bureau statistics that we will
have 400 million people living in America by 2050, the increase completely due
to immigration. By then, we will have a Hispanic Southwest. That’s why activists
fight initiatives for English in the schools, and why they promote Spanish
classrooms (camouflaged under the name “bilingual education”), and why they
fight for unrestricted immigration. They need more foot soldiers.
Americans have
tried to fight back. Californians voted overwhelmingly for Proposition 187
denying government services to illegal aliens. Art Torres, chairman of the
California Democratic Party, responded: “Proposition 187 was the last gasp of
white America in California.” It wasn’t much of a gasp. A federal judge and a
leftist governor effectively killed it.
What will the
United States do if a restive Hispanic majority in the Southwest United States
takes action to secede? The secessionists have compared themselves to
Palestinians, so we could find ourselves under siege as the Israelis are now.
Although Professor Truxillo doubts that civil war would be necessary, he didn’t
dismiss the idea. Another civil war is what we would have if we refused to
surrender those states to Aztlan or La Republica del Norte or whatever they call
it. It’s either that or give a part of America away as readily as Jimmy Carter
gave away the Panama Canal.
Israel Gets Revenge: A Lesson in the War on Terror

In April, 1983, a
truck bomb carrying 2,000 pounds of explosives exploded outside the U. S.
Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, killing 63 people, among them 17 Americans. An
Islamic group claimed responsibility. Six months later, a truck loaded with
explosives crashed into the U. S. Marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241
Americans. Across town, another blast killed 58 French soldiers. President
Ronald Reagan noted that the troops, “died as they slept, resting from the
duties of trying to keep peace in Lebanon.” He later said of terrorists: “You
can run, but you can’t hide.”
But the
perpetrators of the Beirut attacks did run, and they did hide, and they’re still
free. Those savages got away with murder, killing 258 good Americans and a lot
of allies and innocent civilians.
Rewind to another
attack eleven years earlier. At the Olympic games in Munich, Germany in 1972,
eight members of Black September, a violent arm of the Palestine Liberation
Organization, killed two Israeli athletes and took nine others hostage in
Olympic Village. The tragedy unfolded on international television, and the world
looked on in confusion and horror. The terrorists demanded a plane for their
escape to Egypt. At a shootout at the airport, the terrorists killed all nine
hostages. German Army sharpshooters killed five terrorists and wounded three.
Within weeks, the cowardly German authorities caved in to threats from PLO
leaders and released the three terrorists.
Did the Israeli
government simply announce that those involved could “run but not hide,” then
allow them to continue on their merry terrorist ways, as we did? It could have
been so. The day after the attack, the widow of a victim flew to Munich and
said, “Somebody has to pay a price. Because it cannot be that people can
terrorize other people and kill them. And there is no price to be paid.”
But a price
would be paid—in blood. Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir instructed Zvi Zamir,
the head of Mossad, to exact revenge, essentially giving an official order for
“an eye for an eye.” He requested an official “James Bond” license to kill
terrorists abroad. He got it. The movie Munich showed some of the action
that followed.
Just weeks after
the attack, Wael Zwaiter, a translator at the Libyan Embassy in Rome who doubled
as a terrorist leader, became the first target. At the door to his apartment
building, two men stepped from the shadows and asked, “Are you Wael Zwaiter?”
Zwaiter answered in the affirmative, and the Mossad agents pumped twelve bullets
into him.
In Israel, the
widow who had flown to Munich got a call. The caller simply told her to watch
the ten o’clock news, which carried news of the first assassination. After each
assassination, mysterious callers reportedly informed each widow.
In Paris, Dr.
Mahmoud Hamshari, the head of Black September in France, was next. When he
answered his phone one day, it exploded.
Israeli agents
killed PLO operatives across Europe one after another. Then came the most daring
operation of all. Just seven months after the Olympic attacks, Israeli commandos
slipped ashore near Beirut, Lebanon. Three pre-positioned cars awaited them. The
leader, Ehud Barak, later to become Israeli Prime Minister, reportedly dressed
as a woman to make the group appear to be a family on an outing. At the PLO
apartment complex, Barak killed the guard. The commandos broke into the
apartment of Kamal Adwan, the PLO's chief of operations, and pumped 55 bullets
into him. They killed two other PLO leaders then returned to the beach. The
entire operation took thirty minutes. It sent a message to the terrorists:
You’re not even safe in friendly territory.
By then, Mossad
had killed eleven terrorists, but one man at the top of the Mossad hit list, Ali
Hassan Salameh, a young protégé of Yasser Arafat and the planner of the Munich
attack, was still free. Mossad tracked him to Lillehammer, Norway,
coincidentally the future site of the 1994 winter Olympics. Agents pumped 14
bullets into the man who exactly matched Ali’s description. Unfortunately,
Mossad had committed its only blunder of the operation: They had killed an
innocent Moroccan waiter.
Salameh escaped
and was still free and living the good life in Beirut. Seven years after the
Munich attacks, an English woman moved into an apartment overlooking the street
near his apartment. She sat at the window every day and painted street scenes.
One day, on the street below, Salameh passed by a car Mossad had packed with
explosives. She gave a signal. He never knew what hit him.
CBS News asked
the former head of Mossad what message Mossad wanted to send. “That we shall
reach them,” replied Zamir. “And each one of them will be responsible for his
own crime.”
When Ehud Barak
was asked about the 9/11 attack on America, he replied: “What the hell is wrong
about hitting someone who did not hesitate to use hijacked planes with 150 tons
of fuel as a living cruise missile to kill 5,000 people?”
Bob Simon of CBS
News noted: “The Israelis tracked down and killed the terrorists, and some of
their friends as well. It was an eye for an eye. Now that President Bush has
told the CIA to take its gloves off, the Israeli tactics have become an object
lesson in Washington. The Israelis conducted the most daring assassination
campaign of our time.”
In our first
assassination, we killed six terrorists in Yemen with a missile from a drone. We
seem to have stopped there. Let‘s not stop with just a few assassinations. This
is war. Those savages declared war on us and the rest of the civilized world.
Let’s pull out the stops and go after every one of those barbarians that we can
find. The more we kill, the safer we will be.
